i had 23 years of a bad marriage but the past 8 have been great! A happy marriage is a wonderful thing and so worth the effort.
LOVE this Amy! I think God most certainly wants us to have a strong marriage. I know that by living a simple life God has lead me to the past year or so our marriage and children are stronger and we are growing everyday. I so agree with you on the stats. It’s so sad
Hubby and I have been married 9 years in May and we see it too!
Congratulations on nine years, and I totally agree that living a simple life does good things for marriage!
Can’t wait for the series!
Thanks for hosting!
We’ll hit 13 years of marriage this year, too! And it is easy to neglect when you are so busy with young kids, but so important to keep working at it!!
You know, I think that is a big factor as to why so many marriages fail right around this time. We’re all so busy with kids and work that we forget to nurture our marriages.
Thank you so much for hosting this delightful linky! Some great posts..:-)
I have entered a post close to my heart this week # 286 Brainpower Smoothie. My eldest daughter was a little stressed and overworked, as her final school exams are approaching fast. I really wanted to help her so I spent time researching which brain foods would help her to concentrate and memorize for many hours at a time. I only chose ingredients that had been scientifically proven to be effective in boosting brainpower and then went about concocting the ultimate brain food recipe. IT WORKS, IT REALLY DOES! My daughter found drastic improvements in her ability to think almost straight away soI just had to share this with you.
In the post I have detailed why I have included each ingredient as well as the Brainpower Smoothie recipe.
Iam starting my first weekly linky ‘Seasonal Celebration’ late on Sunday, would be great if you’d pop over and join in:-)
I couldn’t agree more – a strong healthy marriage makes an amazing foundation for the family. So glad you’re doing this, Amy! (We celebrate 20 years this year!)
Congratulations on 20 years!
You are so right! I grew up in a home with a bad marriage, and so it is VITAL to me to do the hard things and make our marriage the best it can be – both for ourselves and for our children! Thanks for hosting the linkup!
Healthy marriages take a lot of work, and they are so worth it. It’s so tempting to give up, but we’re all broken and human. Nothing is perfect, and we’re all a work in progress. My dh and I are celebrating 19 years of marriage in October, along with 5 kids. I wouldn’t say things are rosy right now, and we both have a lot to work on. However, we’re committed for the long haul.
Congratulations on 19 years! *committed* is most certainly the key
Marriage is so worth the fight. I cannot wait to read this series. I am always looking for ways to keep the spark in my marriage going.
Oh, that sounds like a great series! I can’t wait!
Never underestimate holding hands. It just says, “I care and I’m thinking about you right now”. 19 years, and I hope I get many more.
The simple things can make a big difference!
I’m baaaack! lol I had some fun photos from our children’s parade and I think that’s a finer thing that must be shared.
Parades are the best!
I need this series! I have been so shocked lately at how many people I know that are suddenly (to me) getting a divorce. It is scaring me! I think my marriage is fine, but I know it could be better. It can always be better.
“It can always be better.” Yes! And like you, I am scary amazed at how many don’t work out, even though I know the statistics.
